Salesforce Solution Architect

Contributor(s): Karolina Kiwak

A Salesforce Solution Architect is someone who has been certified for demonstrating the capabilities to build and design solutions across Salesforce platforms.

There are three tiers of architecture certification for Salesforce:

  • The Salesforce certified architecture designer which validates expertise in certain specializations including Platform App builder, Platform App designer, data architecture, sharing and visibility designer, community cloud consultant, Lifecycle and development designer, Identity and Access Management (IAM) designer, Integration architecture designer, and Mobile Solutions architecture designer.
  • The Salesforce certified application architect and system architect which recognizes professionals that have an expertise in domains.
  • The Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA). This is the elite Salesforce certification and demonstrated that the professional has the knowledge and skills to develop and build highly technical products.

Becoming a Salesforce Solution Architect can lead to wider employment opportunities and career growth. It can also lead to higher pay benefits. The downside of these certifications is that they can take time and cost money to obtain. Some certifications are more valuable than others for certain career tracks, so it is important to know which certification will be most beneficial to your path.
